Join us for the opening of James Merrill’s World—The Stonington Circle. Explore paintings, letters, photographs, and ephemera that illuminate the creative friendships around James Merrill in Stonington. The circle included Robert and Isabel Morse, James Merrill and David Jackson, Eleanor Perenyi, and her mother Grace Zaring Stone. Featured works include the Surly Temple painting, personal notes, postcards from abroad, and other voices from the group.
