Stonington is located between New York City and Boston and is the last shoreline town before entering Rhode Island. It has small town New England charm and while this is a solo residency, you will become part of village life during your stay. You will be hosted by board members and the community and will have a reading at our local bookstore, Bank Square Books.

Open door to all La Grua events. We host our Merrill lecturers here and our fellows are welcome to attend their art openings and music concerts.

For residents without a car, the Inn at Stonington provides a gym for our writers.

During the summer months, you will receive a beach pass to Dubois Beach located at the end of the village.
