Poetry Writing Workshop with David Yezzi

Acclaimed poet and current Merrill House writer-in-residence David Yezzi will lead this session on the music of lyric poetry. Poems are the most precise tools we have for communicating the feelings associated with a human experience. Discover how poets attend to what Robert Frost once termed “the sound of sense,” a musical expression in words that communicates beyond dictionary definitions. Please bring one original poem (number of copies TBD) for consideration and discussion by the group.
